Episcopal 101 Class
Starts April 17 on Zoom
Embark on a Spiritual Journey: Join the Episcopal 101 Class for Newcomers
Are you curious about the Episcopal Church, eager to deepen your understanding of the Christian faith, or contemplating confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church? St. Margaret’s warmly invites you to join our enlightening online adult/teenager class, "Episcopal 101."
Led by co-facilitators, seminarian Joan Weber and Rector Tommy Dillon, this class will be a virtual exploration through The Book of Common Prayer, the Christian life, and the fundamental beliefs of our faith. The Episcopal 101 Class is not just an opportunity to gain knowledge but is also a prerequisite for those desiring confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church, with the presence of Bishop Shannon scheduled for confirmation/reception on September 22 at St. Margaret’s.
The class sessions, conducted via Zoom, will take place on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Our journey will be guided by the insightful book "Walk in Love," which serves as the foundation for our discussions.
Here's a glimpse into our class schedule:
- April 17: The Sacramental Life
- April 24: Marking Time
- May 1: Basic Beliefs
- May 15: The Church
We will have an in-person meeting on Pentecost, May 19, at St. Margaret’s from 11:30 AM until 1 PM, diving into the class on "The Trinitarian Life."
Whether you're new to the Episcopal Church or seeking to refresh your knowledge, this class promises a meaningful and engaging exploration of our faith. The Episcopal 101 Class offers a unique blend of theological insights, community building, and spiritual growth.
